Job Overview

ProScape Lawn & Landscape Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role supports key financial operations, contributes to process improvements, and works closely with leadership to drive performance and efficiency. You will be exposed to multiple aspects of the business and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize workload to ensure timely and accurate results
  • Oversee and support the month-end close process
  • Perform financial analysis to support departmental performance
  • Reconcile purchase orders with vendor invoices and credit card statements
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and enter journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage customer invoicing and ensure proper reconciliation of payments
  • Maintain progress on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in coordination with the Office Manager
  • Utilize QuickBooks for billing, payments, and adjustments
  • Prepare and present P&L reports to leadership
  • Assist with financial and tax audits and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and interact with multiple departments
  • Prior experience in financial analysis is a plus
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
