Job description

TSI Federal is seeking a Proposal Developer/Technical Writer. General Purpose of the proposal/technical writer will develop the company's response to RFP's (Request for Proposals) by the Government. We are seeking an individual that can succinctly communicate the company's core capabilities, experience and expertise in a manner that best represents the company as a qualified service provider for the purpose of securing competitive bids. The writer must have the capability of working with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do:
• Analyze bid opportunities, review RFPs and identify items to be included in proposal response
• Coordinate the gathering of required information from all departments.
• Establish schedules to ensure the resource plan is adequate and all milestones will be met
• Write/edit nontechnical portions of proposal
• Write/edit technical portions of proposal documents
• Maintain proposal library of boilerplate information such as past performance, resumes, corporate information
• Prepare proposal documents ranging from Technical Volumes through Past Performance including editing, proofreading, word processing, and production for final submission to customer
• Coordinate proposal activities for large procurements
• Manage proposal SharePoint sites for file sharing among proposal team members.
• Edit and manage the distribution of corporate policies and procedures.
• Assist with research projects, as necessary.
• Ensure that proposals are accomplished in accordance with policies, sound business practices and are in compliance with government regulations
• Communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Other duties may be assigned.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-7 years experience in a related field -including proposal or grant writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Experience with/knowledge of Government contracting.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum verbal or written instructions
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
