Mark Thomas is growing and adding a Marketing Manager to our team! The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for supervising the positioning and capture of projects in a specific region or segment(s) of the organization, in line with the company's strategic and financial goals. This position provides oversight and leads project and corporate resources teams during positioning, proposal, and interview. The position also includes the direct development of proposal and qualification packages, developing winning approaches and targeted messaging that resonates with the client. This position requires a driven individual who can effectively lead multiple teams on a variety of tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works with regional leadership and Business Developers to develop strategic client and pursuit plans
  • Leads capture planning meetings and monitors tactical action plans
  • Leads the development of value propositions and key messaging
  • Provides leadership and mentorship for Marketing Assistants, Marketing Coordinators, and Proposal Managers within the region, as applicable
  • Provides guidance on proposal best practices for marketing staff within the region
  • Reviews and edits all proposals produced in the region to ensure quality, accuracy, adherence to brand standards, and inclusion of win themes and differentiators
  • Effectively leads internal and external deadline driven RFQs and proposals in a consultative and collaborative team environment
  • Leads the research and development of firm qualifications content, and interviews technical staff to prepare project descriptions, staff bios, and technical approach content
  • Leads the development of interview strategies, presentations and associated graphics, and directs and manages marketing coordinator and graphics staff contributions
  • Coaches technical teams through interview and Q&A preparation\
  • Provides oversight of the accuracy of information in the marketing information database for projects and resumes

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience, with at least 8-10+ years of progressive A/E/C marketing experience
  • Demonstrated proposal writing, editing, and desktop publishing skills - high level of knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Experience developing successful differentiation strategies
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage staff, including positively mentoring and coaching direct reports
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong initiative
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong people skills to interact with all levels of technical staff, with the personality and skill set to direct others
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
