SLSCO is seeking a Proposal Manager to join our team. The SLS Northeast Proposal Manager will directly support the Proposal Director and work with other proposal team members to develop compelling and concise winning proposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proposal Lifecycle Management: Lead and manage all phases of the proposal process, including strategy development, content creation, internal reviews, production, and final submission.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with pursuit teams to define win strategies and ensure alignment with client objectives and our capabilities.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of compelling, customized proposal sections and presentations, incorporating win themes and client-focused messaging.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate efforts across various departments, including estimating, engineering, and operations, to integrate technical and commercial aspects into cohesive proposals.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their requirements and expectations, ensuring that proposals address their specific needs.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals comply with client specifications and company standards, maintaining a high level of quality throughout the process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance proposal processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment with proposal strategies.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of AEC proposal experience
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University in Communications, English, Marketing, or a related program
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with developing proposal content with technical teams
  • Understanding of the proposal color review process
  • Experience working on complex proposals for state and/or local agencies
