Position Description:
The Senior Graphic Designer plays a key role in designing proposal documents, presentations, and other marketing graphics that support business development efforts. This position leads the creation of high-quality graphics and document layouts that clearly communicate complex technical information from the engineering team. The role requires a balance of creativity and analytical thinking, along with strong attention to detail. The Senior Graphic Designer must be able to stay on task and demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a proposal-driven environment. Strong leadership skills are necessary because this position helps guide visual strategy, provides direction on graphic approaches, supports consistency in branding and document quality, and serves as a trusted resource for marketing staff and technical teams during high-pressure deadlines.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and curious, works well with others, and can clearly communicate graphic concepts with the team. This position requires the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
A flexible hybrid remote work schedule may be available after 90 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Design graphics such as maps, flow charts, timelines, organizational charts, tables, and other information graphics with Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or InDesign.
  • Maintain graphics for the Creative Cloud Libraries and our asset management software (OpenAsset).
  • Stay abreast of graphic design trends.
  • Create and edit templates for InDesign and PowerPoint.
  • Lay out proposals that are easy-to-read, attractive, and clearly communicate intended message.
  • Provide technical support to the marketing staff for Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
  • Prepare finalized, bookmarked PDFs and support print production, including coordination of binding and final printed deliverables as needed.
  • Support Proposal Specialist when preparing final deliverables for client.
  • Work closely with the Proposal Specialist to ensure documents adhere to client requirements (RFP) and Wade Trim's brand standards.
  • Recognize each project is unique and adapt work approach to fit team needs and expectations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts
  • 10 years of relevant experience

Skills/Experience:
  • 10+ years of graphic design experience
  • Must have a portfolio demonstrating graphic abilities
  • InDesign: Must be a subject matter expert with expertise in creating and maintaining templates including creating/editing parent pages, creating/editing styles, creating/editing tables, page numbering, using the Table of Contents function, using the Links panel, and bookmarking; knowledge of GREP is a plus
  • Photoshop: understanding image formats, color-space, color correcting, and sizing properties for print and digital production
  • Illustrator: working knowledge of layers, creating and editing vector illustrations
  • Experience working in a Windows environment
  • Leadership of junior designers and non-designers in design concepts for long documents is a must
  • Sharing/teaching your technical and design skills with marketing staff
  • Excellent organizational skills to accommodate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent creative skills are also required to continually improve the graphic presentation of materials
  • An operating knowledge of a personal computer and related equipment, digital camera, photocopy machines including color copier, paper cutter, and binding machine
  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Experience in a proposal environment is a plus
