Summary

The Business Operations Analyst I supports the execution and continuous improvement of the organization’s technology-enabled proposal operations. This position provides analytical, operational, and process support across business development, capture management, proposal development, and enterprise operations activities. The analyst serves as a force multiplier by gathering and synthesizing information, monitoring operational performance, supporting workflow execution, and providing decision-support products to leadership. This is an entry-level position working under the direct supervision of the Project Lead, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with 1 to 3 years of experience to develop expertise in federal contracting, business operations, proposal development, process improvement, data analytics, and AI-enabled business workflows aligned to Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)-informed practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Research

  • Research, collect, and synthesize information from internal and external sources.
  • Analyze business development, proposal, operational, and organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support market research, customer analysis, and opportunity assessments.
  • Develop findings and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Assist with strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives.

Proposal Operations Support

  • Maintain visibility of proposal, capture, and business development activities.
  • Track proposal schedules, milestones, deliverables, and workflow status.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Operations, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
