The Organ Preservation Specialist is responsible for procurement activities related to the surgical removal, preservation, and transportation of organs. This involves working collaboratively with department staff members, physicians, and organ procurement organizations.
Education
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required
Work Experience
  • 2 years of operating room experience as a Surgical Technologist Required or

  • Experience with organ preservation Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS certification Upon Hire Required and

  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Certification as a Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required or

  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Licensed as an LPN Upon Hire Required
