National Operations & Leasing Manager — Medical Office Building (MOB) Platform:

A National Operations & Leasing Manager in the Medical Outpatient Building (MOB) sector is responsible for driving operational performance, leasing execution, tenant retention, and asset optimization across a national portfolio of healthcare real estate assets. Serving as a key liaison between ownership, investment management, property management, leasing teams, healthcare tenants, construction partners, asset management, and finance, this role is accountable for maximizing occupancy, supporting NOI growth, executing leasing strategies, and fostering strong relationships with health systems, physician groups, and other healthcare providers. The position plays a critical role in ensuring operational consistency across the portfolio while aligning day-to-day execution with broader investment and asset management objectives.

 

Core Responsibilities:

Portfolio Oversight

  • Manage a national portfolio of MOB assets ranging from approximately 500k–3M+ square feet
  • Oversee operational and leasing performance across multiple states or markets
  • Ensure alignment with ownership objectives and asset strategy

 

Leasing Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal or third-party brokers on:
    • New leasing activity
    • Renewals
    • Expansions
    • Physician practice relocations
  • Negotiate business terms and assist with LOIs and lease execution
  • Analyze market lease rates, concessions, and competitive positioning
  • Drive occupancy and tenant retention strategies

 

Operations & Financial Management

  • Oversee property operations and vendor performance
  • Review budgets, CAM reconciliations, and operating expenses
  • Monitor portfolio NOI and variance reporting
  • Identify operational efficiencies and cost savings
  • Coordinate capital improvement initiatives

 

Tenant & Health System Relationships

  • Maintain strong relationships with:
    • Hospital systems
    • Physician groups
    • Ambulatory surgery operators
    • Healthcare administrators
  • Resolve escalated tenant concerns
  • Support strategic partnerships and long-term tenancy

 

Strategic & Reporting Responsibilities

  • Prepare portfolio updates for executive leadership and ownership
  • Assist with acquisitions onboarding and operational integration
  • Support underwriting assumptions through operational insights
  • Monitor national healthcare trends and physician demand drivers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Property Management, or a related field required.
  • 5–12+ years of progressive experience in healthcare real estate, commercial property operations, leasing, asset management, portfolio management, or related commercial real estate disciplines.
  • Experience overseeing Medical Office Buildings (MOB), outpatient facilities, ambulatory care centers, and other healthcare-oriented real estate assets.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-property portfolios, driving occupancy, tenant retention, leasing performance, and NOI growth.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, operating expense management, and lease analysis.
  • Working knowledge of triple-net lease structures, healthcare real estate operations, and MOB leasing dynamics.
  • Established relationships within healthcare systems, physician groups, healthcare providers, brokers, and industry stakeholders are highly valued.
  • Experience working with institutional owners, REITs, private equity firms, healthcare operators, or third-party management platforms preferred.
