Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Property Management and Operations Lead to take full ownership of our commercial buildings. This is not a desk job, you will be the person on the ground, ensuring the properties run smoothly, look sharp, tenants stay happy, and rent is collected on time. You will work directly with ownership, to keep communication clear and ensure every follow-up is closed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect rent on time and perform consistent, professional follow-ups with tenants until payment is received.
  • Manage build outs and day-to-day building operations, so that the property is always well-run and problem free.
  • Oversee all property maintenance, including preventive work and rapid response to issues.
  • Build and maintain strong tenant relationships; be the go-to point of contact for build outs, concerns, requests, and communication.
  • Coordinate and manage contractors (vendors, service providers, repair teams), schedule build out work, oversee quality, control costs, and ensure jobs are completed correctly.
  • Drive building beautification and curb appeal; landscaping, common-area upkeep, cleanliness, and any upgrades that keep the property looking professional and inviting.
  • Work closely with ownership and provide clear updates, flag issues early, and make sure every piece of information is communicated and followed through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of rent status, maintenance history, contractor work, and tenant interactions.

What Success Looks Like
  • Rent is collected consistently and on schedule.
  • Buildings are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing, at all times.
  • Tenants feel heard and supported.
  • Owners always know the status of their properties without having to chase information.
  • Contractors deliver quality work on time and on budget.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial property operations, facilities, or a related hands-on role.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to confidently manage rent collection and conduct payment-related conversations with professionalism and tact.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills with both tenants and ownership.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated - you take pride in owning the outcome.
  • Comfortable being on-site and handling the practical side of build outs and after care.
  • This role is perfect for someone who wants real ownership of commercial properties and enjoys seeing the direct results of their work every day.
