Status: Full-Time, First Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with additional hours as necessary
Location: 1224 East Blvd., Chesterfield, SC
Reports To: Director of Finance
Benefits: Full-Time Benefits Package

Position Summary

The Administrative Financial Specialist supports the financial and administrative operations of CHESCO Services. This position is responsible for accounts payable, financial recordkeeping, bank reconciliations, reporting, audit support, HUD documentation, and general office operations. The position works closely with leadership, vendors, banks, auditors, and other agency personnel to ensure accurate and compliant financial practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and vendor payments.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow, billing, and financial reporting.

  • Support audits and maintain required financial documentation.

  • Maintain HUD property files, insurance records, and asset documentation.

  • Assist with purchasing and other financial operations.

  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and software providers.

  • Provide receptionist and front-office support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling correspondence.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and consumer information.

  • Support agency-wide administrative and financial goals.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Three years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, financial, or administrative experience preferred.

  • Experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.

  • HUD, housing, or property-management experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
