Description
We are seeking an experienced, proactive Property Manager to oversee all operational, tenant, and vendor management activities for our property portfolio. In this role, you will act as the operational backbone of our properties, driving high retention rates and maintaining smooth daily operations.
You will be responsible for managing the complete tenant lifecycle-from rigorous background and financial screening to seamless onboarding, ongoing lease administration, and final move-out processing. Beyond tenant relations, you will actively coordinate maintenance vendors to protect asset value, manage utility transitions, and serve as the primary liaison for all property-related inquiries. The ideal candidate blends exceptional communication skills with a firm grasp of property compliance, financial documentation, and conflict resolution to deliver a high standard of living for our residents.
Responsibilities
• Reviewing and approving/declining tenant applications (income verification, credit, and background checks)
• Coordinating applicant showings with leasing agents
• Coordinating key delivery to tenants and move-out inspections for security deposit assessments
• Returning security deposits and delivering security deposit documentation
• Coordinating contractors/vendors from our company database to handle tenant maintenance requests
• Handling tenant questions via email and phone regarding leasing, applications, billing, security deposits, and maintenance
• Coordinating with utility providers for move-ins and move-outs
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Coordinating and ordering materials for renovation and unit turn projects using our internal standard materials database
• Rental property bookkeeping (assisted by an internal AI assistant)
Qualifications
• Property management experience, familiarity with property management software, and telephone customer service experience are required
• Bookkeeping experience is highly preferred but not required
