Job description

Propeller is on a mission to take the guesswork out of moving dirt - reducing wasted fuel, time, and money. We do this through the power of maps.ย

Our customers use Propeller's integrated hardware and software products to capture accurate 3D versions of their worksites using drones. With over 50,000 worksites worldwide using Propeller's smart survey technology, we empower project teams to map, measure, and manage site activity.

Propeller empowers everyone to approach, own, and solve problems creatively. We're data nerds who care about impact, honesty, and each other. We take pride in being a great place to work and are proud to be recognized as a Fast Company and BuiltIn Best Place to Work. You can learn more about us on Glassdoor.

Your Mission:

You'll be helping Propeller to transform the way work sites around the world use drone data. You'll play a critical role in a rapidly growing, high-tech startup, solving real problems every day - and having fun whilst you're at it.

As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you'll work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to help them better understand lead behavior at the top of the funnel. You'll successfully identify customer needs, articulate Propeller's value proposition, and develop a robust sales pipeline by prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities. You'll work directly with our Account Executive team to target new leads based on the challenges you discover. You'll hand over these leads to our Account Executives and recommend how best to take that deal to close.

In addition to driving your own pipeline, you will act as a peer mentor and leader to our SDR 1 team members-collaborating closely with the Sales Development Manager to help newer reps sharpen their skills, overcome hurdles, and find success.

This role is designed to be a stepping stone where experienced outbound professionals can fast-track their growth into an Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, or Sales Engineer position. Once in those positions, you will drive frontline revenue and long-term customer impact, playing a critical role in developing the Americas region.

This is a hybrid position that requires an average of four days in the office per week in Denver, Colorado. There are no travel requirements for this position.

About You:ย

You're a people person and a natural mentor. You understand that every customer is a person and has equally important problems, and your message is always clear, friendly, and meaningful. Beyond customer communication, you genuinely enjoy helping others grow and are eager to share your winning strategies and insights with your peers.

You're an experienced sales development professional who is ready to take that next step in your sales career. You bring proven SaaS (maybe AI as well) SDR/BDR or related outbound experience to the table, allowing you to critically reflect on sales processes with a view to making things better. You look for ways to automate or make improvements that will benefit you and your wider team.

You are goal-driven, focused, and ready to lead by example while knocking your quota out of the park! Based on achieving certain milestones in this role, you could see internal advancement sooner.

Requirements

  • Proven SaaS Sales experience, either as an SDR/BDR or related.
  • Experience with cold calling at volume (50+ cold calls per day).ย
  • A great communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Curiosity-driven, you focus on customer problems and workflows before pitching.
  • Goal-driven with proven experience in hitting KPIs and/or quotas.

Bonus Points For:ย

  • Experience in GIS or Construction-based technologies.

Benefits

  • Fully paid employee United Platinum PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 20-day paid vacation time per year with no accrual or carryover cap
  • 3% non-elective employer contribution to 401(k)
  • Employee share optionsย
  • Professional development budget and leave
  • The opportunity to take part in our mentorship program
  • $100 USD monthly telephone and/or internet allowance
  • Paid primary & secondary parental leave policiesย
  • $275 USD one-time work from home set-up budget, and we'll also send you a laptop, monitor, mouse, and keyboard

The salary range offered for this role is $65,000-$72,500 (base) + $25,000 - $30,000 (variable), which equals $90,000 - $102,500 (OTE). This range is tied to the market for this job in Colorado. Any salary offer extended will be based on skills, knowledge and experience.
