MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Financial Manager to help support our current Marine Corps Systems Command Contract in Stafford, VA.
The successful candidate will assume a wide range of financial and business management responsibilities on behalf of our government customer and will play an integral role in all areas of the financial management of the program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare government funding documents that convey all categories of Department of Defense appropriations (e.g., MIPR, NIPR, etc.).
  • Maintain project baseline budget information, update spend and phasing plans and track the changes.
  • Track and compare project funding execution to phasing plans. Identify and alert the project management office to any significant variances from the plan. Prepares justification statements, as required, to explain the variances.
  • Prepare and coordinate inputs for regular execution reviews required by the Marine Corps and/or higher headquarters, e.g., the Dormant Account Review - Quarterly. This includes any related status reports, briefings, and information inquiries.
  • Interface with the program management team in preparation of financial documentation, status reports, and briefs in response to internal and external requests for project financial data.
  • Provide financial support and input to various integrated product reviews, integrated product teams, and technical working groups, as delineated by program priorities.
  • Assist with the resolution of financial reporting and compliance issues with various government agencies to ensure accurate interpretation and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience in DoD financial / cost analysis. Additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI).
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications to include Office and SharePoint.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAU Level I certification in one of the following areas: business, cost estimating and financial management, contracting, or acquisitions.
  • Experience with Naval Headquarters System (NHS) Cerberus, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval System (SMARTS).

Clearance Required: Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work.
