Description

We are looking for a Front Counter Associate responsible for supporting the Plant Manager by dispatching drivers and service technicians, performing data entry, and assisting with customer inquiries via phone and in-person visits.

  • Answer incoming calls and process customer orders, printing tickets as needed.
  • Provide customers with propane pricing information.
  • Prepare and print scheduled tickets for propane cylinder deliveries, coordinate with drivers, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Update the propane management system with residential customer information.
  • Generate tickets for new customer setups and bulk propane orders.
  • Assist and serve customers visiting the front counter.
  • Record and update daily truck mileage in the fleet management system.
  • Document truck repairs and maintenance in the fleet management system.
  • Perform daily cash register reconciliations (Z-out).
  • Conduct monthly inventory of all propane bulk tanks, cylinder tanks, and bobtail equipment.
  • Update monthly truck mileage records.
  • Assist the Plant Manager with dispatching and supervision of all personnel.
  • Monitor large bulk propane tanks on a daily basis to ensure proper levels and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience, in retail, service, or utility industries.
  • Basic knowledge of propane products and safety practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in using computers, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders, cash and inventory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
