Job description

Title: Administrative Assistant
Client: Southern Company Services
Location: Georgia Power Headquarters – Atlanta, GA
Contract: 3 Years
Experience: 3–5 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and office support to multiple professionals, including managers, managing directors, and other leadership personnel.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with calendar management, travel coordination, document preparation, Microsoft Office applications, and general office administration. This position requires excellent organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to managers and other professionals.

  • Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and scheduling.

  • Coordinate domestic and/or business travel arrangements.

  • Field and route telephone calls.

  • Receive and direct visitors.

  • Perform filing, scanning, copying, and general document management.

  • Coordinate meal orders and meeting-related logistics.

  • Prepare, review, proofread, and format documents, emails, reports, and presentations.

  • Maintain spreadsheets, databases, records, and other administrative information.

  • Organize daily workload based on priorities and deadlines.

  • Support multiple professionals and projects simultaneously.

  • Respond proactively to administrative issues and changing priorities.

  • Maintain professional communication with employees, management, vendors, and visitors.

  • Handle confidential or sensitive information appropriately.

Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of administrative assistant, executive support, office administration, or related experience.

  • Strong calendar management and scheduling experience.

  • Experience arranging business travel.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including:

    • Word

    • Excel

    • PowerPoint

    • Outlook

  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

  • Strong proofreading and document-review skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn new tasks and systems quickly.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Professional-level written and verbal communication skills.
