A promotions manager typically works for an advertising or media company, planning materials for a campaign, including contests, giveaways, prizes, and coupons, to enhance the sales of a service or product for retailers. This job is also found at radio and television stations, staffing agencies, and other businesses that want to drive customer engagement. As a promotions manager, your job duties include preparing and negotiating contracts, creating budget estimates, staying up to date on marketing trends, inspecting layouts on advertising copy, editing scripts, directing product research, and representing the company at trade shows.
