Summary:
The purpose of the One to One Observer is to provide personal constant observation of a patient.
This position will also Communicate with and support healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s).
This position will also maintain and demonstrate high standards of professional ethics.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
Identifies and communicates changes in patient's status to RN and responds appropriately.
Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Must have strong communication skills.
Required Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
