Job description

We are looking for a CEI Project Administrator.
STV is seeking a CEI Project Administrator / Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation team in Pensacola, FL.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute immediately to the delivery and oversight of critical transportation infrastructure projects across Florida. With a strong backlog of work and expanding partnerships with FDOT and local agencies, this role offers long-term career potential in a dynamic and supportive team environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively, and has experience leading teams and managing the complexities of field-based construction projects.
ABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Responsible for receiving general instructions on assignments and exercising sound judgment and initiative to resolve work-related issues.
• Responsible for directing and assigning tasks to both administrative and field personnel, supporting coordination across all phases of the construction project.
• Responsible for reviewing progress estimates and final estimates for accuracy and compliance throughout the duration of the project.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate project needs, and collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and FDOT standards.
• Capable of maintaining accurate and organized project documentation, including meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and field reports.
EXPERIENCE:
For Candidate's with either their Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degrees:
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressive engineering experience on transportation-related construction projects
• A Master's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may be substituted for one (1) year of experience
For personnel without Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management degrees:
• Eight (8) years of CEI or roadway or bridge construction experience,
• Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Qualifications/certifications for this position may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire provided that this position works under the supervision and direction of a Senior Project Engineer, all other requirements for the position are met, and a training plan is submitted detailing when the qualifications/certifications will be obtained.
• FDOT Advanced MOT.
• CTQP Final Estimates Level II.
• CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination).
LICENSURE (FOR CEI PROJECT ENGINEER):
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
  • Must obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six (6) months of Project Notice to Proceed (NTP) if registered in another state

Compensation Range:
$89,487.93 - $102,271.92
