Position: Content and Communications Project Specialist
Location:  Colorado Springs (Hybrid) or Remote

MINISTRY POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Specialist will provide high-level administrative and project management support to the Vice President for Content and Communications.  This position will also support the effectiveness of the Content and Communications group by assisting the Sr. Communications Manager in coordinating ministry-wide content and communications logistics. The ideal individual will be proactive and anticipatory in approach, possess excellent judgment in a variety of situations, demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills, have a high attention to detail, exemplify an energetic, poised, and positive demeanor, and demonstrate the ability to balance multiple priorities.  
 
   Key Ministry Responsibilities
-  Perform all administrative duties to support the Vice President’s effectiveness, including thorough scheduling, planning meetings, making travel arrangements, and maintaining records. 
-  Support the effectiveness of the Content and Communications team by assisting the Sr. Communications Manager in coordinating ministry-wide content strategy, alignment, schedule, and review.
-  Assist the Sr. Communications Manager with other administrative needs and provides a bridge for smooth communication and project management between the Vice President, Sr. Communications Manager, and internal teams, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with staff. 
-  Frequently compose, proofread, and finalize complex correspondence, documents, meeting minutes, reports, and board meeting materials, using experience and judgment. 
-  Research, prioritize, and manage responses to incoming correspondence and requests.
-  Manage multifaceted program logistics and calendars for meetings and conferences, including arranging travel and catering and setting up and breaking down meeting rooms for the Vice President’s meetings. 
-  Other duties and special projects, as needed. 
-  Preference for candidates in the Washington D.C. region

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience in an administrative support role and/or project coordination with demonstrated track record of success
  • Interest, comfort, and strength working in a dynamic high growth environment
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to represent the ministry professionally; maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy
  • Clear communicator, verbally and in writing; able to write for a variety of formats and audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, consultants, and donors
  • Self-starter; highly motivated and resourceful team-player able to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities under deadline in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong judgment: able to think and work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and follow through to effectively manage workflow
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, protocol, and a commitment to high-quality work
  • High fluency with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Forward-looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Position Classification: Full-Time Exempt 
 
Salary Range:                $60,000 - $70,000
