Job description

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the Steel Construction industry. Candidate must have knowledge of steel fabrication and erection of structural and miscellaneous steel. Candidate oversees all aspects of the construction project from award to substantial completion. Candidate should have the ability to estimate change orders.

Requirements of the position:
-Reviews contracts, with a concentrations on scope of work and schedule, to insure that all contractual obligations are met and maintained
-Reviews project proposal and plans to determine schedule of values, project schedule and staffing requirements
-Responsible for financial success of each project along with job costing
-Oversees and coordinates detailing, material purchases, equipment requirements, shop fabrication and erecting scheduling
-Generates monthly billings and change orders
-Jobsite visits are needed and required
-Meeting with owners, architect, engineer, general contractor, detailer, plant manager and field foreman
-Ability to estimate and submit change orders

Specialized knowledge and skills:

-Computer skills including windows, word, excel, and outlook
-Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop fabrication drawings and erection drawings
-Ability to manage multiple projects from small to large
-Valid California drivers license
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
-Outstanding observation ability and detail orientated
