Hill International is seeking a Scheduler in Pomona, California
Responsibilities
  • Schedules major projects/distribution program projects (30 + work groups of distribution projects) with some level of complexity and requires tracking status of local permits.
  • Responsible for the overall schedule tracking, monitoring, and reporting efforts to ensure major and/or multi-year projects are completed on schedule.
  • Required to develop schedules and incorporate schedules already in use for some parts of each project.
  • Documents delays in order to provide time impact analysis.
  • Performs complex and detailed research, updates, and data gathering/analysis in areas of scheduling management.
  • Prepares and presents results, alternatives, and/or recommendations to support business decisions, manage project costs and schedules, and to mitigate potential risks to assigned major projects.
  • Prepares project controls data request responses in support of corporate / OU governance, internal/external audits, General Rate Cases, and regulatory filings.
  • Expert at master integrated schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and calculating earned values.
  • Direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution. Identifies problems and solutions.
  • Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Utilizes project controls in exercising schedule management, forecasting, performance monitoring such as variance analysis, maintaining schedules and project plans, identifying trends, and assessing performance against schedule targets.
  • Organized and drives actions to resolve issues immediately or bring them to Project Management team for action.
  • Mentors other employees to develop future project controls professionals.
  • Effective communicator is essential; data gathering will include many groups and contractors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, construction management, business, finance, or project management, or a combination of education, training, and experience, equivalent to a 4-year college.
  • 7+ years' experience in scheduling and capital projects/construction required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio) and SAP required.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6.
  • Electrical utility experience preferred.
  • Construction management experience preferred.
  • Certificate and/or License - Planning & Scheduling Professional, Earned Value Professional, Certified preferred.
  • Cost Professional, Project Management Professional.
  • Must be local to Southern California; hybrid work schedule.
  • Able to travel to job sites on as-needed basis (generally less than once per month).

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$134,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
