We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Scheduler for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to this landmark project that is poised to deliver transformative impacts across economic, transportation, and environmental sustainability.

The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. This is a milestone project that is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

Responsibilities

The Scheduler is responsible for the coordination and control of tunneling project timelines, acting as the central liaison between the owners engineering teams and contractors. This position safeguards the accuracy of schedules, enforces contractual obligations, and ensures clear communication of time-related goals. The Scheduler reviews, assesses, and tracks contractor-submitted schedules, offering strategic analysis to guide project planning, mitigate risks, and inform critical decisions.

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using specialized software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools, considering all project activities, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project requirements, milestones, and critical path activities to create an accurate and feasible project schedule.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and resource leveling, to identify potential schedule delays, conflicts, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on schedule data analysis to support decision-making, mitigate risks, and ensure project objectives are achieved within established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Monitor schedule performance, track progress against key milestones, and report on project schedule status, deviations, and variances to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare schedule reports, graphical presentations, and visual representations of project schedules for project meetings, progress reviews, and presentations to senior management.
  • Support the development of baseline schedules, progress measurement methodologies, and earned value analysis to evaluate project performance and project schedule adherence.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in similar roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Scheduler or Scheduler Analyst in large construction projects, with a focus on tunneling or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex project schedules and data.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.

The estimated starting salary for this position is $150k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
