Project Scheduler

Project Scheduler (Industrial EPC / Civil)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, maintain and manage schedules for large industrial EPC and civil construction projects. The role is responsible for creating robust, logic-driven schedules, performing critical-path analysis, coordinating schedule interfaces across disciplines and stakeholders, and providing timely schedule reporting to support project execution, change management and claims resolution. The successful candidate will be proficient with Primavera and Oracle scheduling tools and experienced working in heavy industrial EPC and civil environments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and optimize project schedules for industrial EPC and civil projects using Primavera/Oracle tools.
  • Define project activities, durations, sequencing and logic; establish milestones and baselines aligned to contract requirements.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks and recommended mitigation measures; continually monitor and report float and key path changes.
  • Integrate schedules across disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning) to ensure coherent overall program control.
  • Update schedules regularly with progress data, reconcile actuals to baseline, and produce time-phased forecasts and recovery plans.
  • Prepare clear, actionable schedule reports, dashboards and presentations for project management, clients and subcontractors.
  • Support change management and claims by maintaining auditable schedule records, as-built logic and delay analyses.
  • Lead or participate in schedule reviews, coordination meetings and progress workshops; liaise with planners, engineers, construction managers and procurement teams.
  • Ensure schedule compliance with contractual obligations, project controls standards and client reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to project team members on schedule best practices and tool usage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6+ years experience as a Project Scheduler on industrial EPC and civil construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience with Primavera and Oracle scheduling environments (scheduling tool proficiency is essential).
  • Proven ability to develop logic-driven CPM schedules and perform detailed critical-path analysis (essential).
  • Experience producing baseline schedules, updates, as-built chronologies and delay analysis for claims and change management.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience delivering clear schedule reporting and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills; able to influence project teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet project milestones and reporting deadlines.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and formal CPM schedule development and documentation standards.
