The Project Safety Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of project execution adhere to the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs tailored to specific project needs, thereby minimizing risks and preventing workplace incidents. The consultant collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to identify potential hazards and recommend effective mitigation strategies. By conducting thorough safety audits, training sessions, and incident investigations, the consultant ensures continuous improvement in safety performance throughout the project lifecycle. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a safe working environment that protects employees, assets, and the reputation of the organization.

Primary industries include Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical Life Sciences, Data Center Construction, Petrochemical, Power Generation, and New Construction. Roles commonly consist of Site Safety Lead for a site owner or contractor, Field Safety Representative, or Safety technician. Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project safety management or consulting within construction, engineering, or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train and influence diverse project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
โข Certifications: CSP, CHST, OSHA 500, 510, and/or 511
โข Current TWIC card is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
- Advanced training in emergency response and crisis management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific safety plans and protocols in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution phases.
- Lead safety training programs and toolbox talks to educate employees and subcontractors on best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance records.
- Advise management on safety performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance overall safety culture.
