Job description

We seeking a reliable and safety-focused Construction Safety Helper with a current OSHA 30 certification to assist with safety operations on active construction sites in the Raleigh, NC area.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction-site safety practices, is comfortable working alongside field crews and supervisors, and takes a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily construction-site safety inspections and walkthroughs.
  • Identify, document, and report unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
  • Monitor proper use of PPE and other required safety equipment.
  • Assist with toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new-employee safety orientations.
  • Help maintain safety signage, barricades, and controlled work areas.
  • Assist with OSHA and company safety documentation.
  • Support supervisors and safety personnel with safety-related tasks.
  • Help ensure employees follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification — REQUIRED.
  • Previous construction experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate potential safety hazards.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional.
  • Ability to work outdoors and around active construction equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift as required on a construction site.
