Position Overview
The Grasso Companies is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role is responsible for overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams to successfully execute sitework and heavy civil projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple site development or heavy civil projects simultaneously
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field crews
  • Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance
  • Monitor project costs and prepare budget forecasts and reports
  • Conduct site visits to ensure safety, quality control, and progress milestones are met
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications

  • 37+ years of construction project management experience (sitework, civil, or commercial construction preferred)
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and project scheduling
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field operations
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in civil/site development projects
  • Knowledge of local permitting and regulations in Connecticut
  • OSHA certification or strong understanding of construction safety practices
