Role Mission:

The Project Manager builds possibility by protecting and growing Hewitt Young’s profitability through precise execution, financial discipline, and leadership. Their number one job is to turn awarded projects into earned gross profit delivering every job safely, on schedule, and within budget while developing teams who can do the same.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute electrical construction projects from award to completion
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement strategies
  • Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and vendors
  • Oversee field supervision
  • Review and manage project drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
  • Monitor job costs and manage change orders
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
  • Manage material procurement, equipment scheduling, and vendor relationships
  • Enforce safety programs
  • Oversee project closeout

Must Have Competencies:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical construction with project management responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plans, and specifications
  • Experience managing commercial and or industrial electrical projects
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and contract documents
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
