The Commissioner's Office provides leadership and direction to ensure the agency fulfills its mission and meets state and federal requirements. Its customers include the citizens of the Commonwealth, the offices of the Governor and the Secretary of Health and Human Resources, agency employees, Federal partners and other organizations serving older adults and individuals with disabilities.
We are seeking an Operations Assistant to provide support for the agency's web development, policy division and constituent services functions by assisting with website design and accessibility, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with standards, and helping coordinate and track constituent inquiries to improve communication and service delivery.
Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Experience in constituent services processes, public inquiry handling, and customer service principles.

Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of web content management systems including WordPress, SharePoint, and other common web related applications.
  • Working knowledge of website design principles, responsive design, and user experience best practices.
  • Working knowledge of branding standards, style guidelines, and state or agency-specific web policies.
  • Working knowledge of tools and practices for captioning, media accessibility, and managing online videos (e.g., YouTube Studio).
  • Working knowledge of research methods for analyzing public concerns and identifying policy or service gaps.
  • Working knowledge of recordkeeping systems and tracking mechanisms for inquiries, FOIA requests, and agency communications.

• Skills in reviewing, maintaining, and updating technical documentation, training materials, and reference guides.
