Clinical Informatics Analyst
Position Overview:
The Clinical Informatics Analyst will support the Clinical Informatics Specialist in optimizing and maintaining the use of Epic across McKenzie Health's hospital and clinic departments. This role will focus on end-user training, troubleshooting, workflow analysis, and supporting system implementations to ensure staff and providers are able to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The Analyst will function as a liaison between clinical staff and IT, helping translate clinical needs into practical informatics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning, developing, and delivering Epic training for providers, nurses, and clinical staff.
  • Provide at-the-elbow support for staff learning Epic workflows and tools.
  • Troubleshoot Epic issues and escalate complex problems to the Clinical Informatics Specialist or IT team as needed.
  • Participate in the creation of training materials, quick reference guides, and orientation packets for new hires.
  • Help collect and analyze data to identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in developing and testing new Epic modules, service lines, and enhancements.
  • Support clinical teams with report generation, data pulls, and visualization requests.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff across 25+ different departments in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Epic functionality and upcoming updates.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving clinical efficiency, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
