Project Manager, Asset Documentation & Data Integrity

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead asset documentation, data integrity, and process improvement initiatives across generation and industrial facilities. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing projects that improve the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of asset-related information, supporting long-term operational excellence and data governance objectives.
The Project Manager will oversee documentation remediation efforts, asset identification programs, drawing updates, plant walkdowns, P&ID reviews, CAD-related activities, and procedural documentation initiatives. This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination between engineering, operations, maintenance, supply chain, technology, asset management, and third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background combined with experience in power generation, utilities, renewable energy, or other heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple asset documentation and data management projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and status reporting.
  • Facilitate project meetings, manage action items, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives.
  • Coordinate implementation activities and oversee the transition to standardized documentation processes and systems.
  • Support training, change management, and user adoption initiatives.
Asset Documentation & Data Governance
  • Conduct assessments of existing asset documentation, including engineering drawings, procedures, equipment records, and asset identification systems.
  • Coordinate plant walkdowns and field validation efforts to verify asset information.
  • Manage drawing updates, P&ID reviews, and documentation remediation activities.
  • Support asset identification, numbering, and labeling initiatives across facilities.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, controls, and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of asset-related data and records.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Gather and document business requirements from cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, projects, supply chain, technology, and asset management personnel.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience within power generation, power delivery, renewable energy, utilities, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects involving asset documentation, engineering records, operational processes, or data management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy facilities, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hydroelectric, or solar generation sites.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical design experience.
  • CAD or technical drafting experience and related certifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from planning through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of industrial, utility, or power generation operations and processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
