The IT Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of IT projects, and therefore oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes. A PM has duties to perform at each phase of a project to maintain schedule timeline, within budget and deliver a quality project. The IT Project Manager must develop, clarify, and manage the scope of the project and prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of each project. PM applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in supporting project leads and driving the development and application of project management methodology and culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies, tracks, monitors, and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variance, and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of projects. Facilitates amicable solutions with the appropriate customer

• Easily shifts from one task to another without losing sight of long-term goals.

• Understands how the DBHDD’s applications and systems are impacted when implementing changes.

• Effectively communicates relevant project information to key stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Collaborates effectively with people across the agency to accomplish project goals.

• Sets high expectations and enforces standards to meet project timelines.

• Remains aware of impending deadlines and competing forces that may change priorities and deliverables.

• Stays up-to-date on leading edge project management practices.

• Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND FIVE years of RECENT relevant project management experience, with a progression in responsibility.

1. 10 years PM experience managing medium to large scale IT projects

2. Current PMP Certification

3. At least 3 years IT consulting experience.

4. SCRUM Master and/or Product Owner Experience

5. Advanced proficiency in System Development Life Cycle AND Agile methodology

6. Proficient in Microsoft Tools, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Outlook, and Azure DevOps

7. Skilled at conflict resolution

8. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

9. Ability to communicate to management, business, and technical personnel
