Job Title

Project ManagerManage all aspects of assigned project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished. Responsible for all aspects of project management (from the initiation through completion) including managing plans and coordinating activities of the project.

Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays.
Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.
Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors.
Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete.
Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.
Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
Coach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problems.
Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project(s) and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects as defined by working with plant leadership.
Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
Establish work plan for each phase of project.
Coordinate activities of all resources assigned to the project including supervisors/team leaders/and subject matter experts assigned to the project.
Lead project team to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Report progress and status of projects to the project steering committee and/or executive stakeholder on a regular basis. Prepare written project reports.
Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
Direct and coordinate program activities including but not limited to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the program.
Requires knowledge of technical and administrative aspects of all phases of project management including use of information systems, engineering software, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Oversee work of sub-contractors and their workforce as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
Experience:
Prior project management experience. Up to 2 years of relevant manufacturing, R&D, or commercial experience.
Demonstrated project management skills through prior on-the-job experience or professional project management training.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Team player with good leadership skills, excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
