Title: Project Manager
Location: Richmond, VA
Job Description:
  • The Client is looking for a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in the field, with specific experience with server migration to cloud hosting.
  • The project manager is responsible for managing the project scope, schedule and budget and reporting to client IT management on a weekly basis or as agreed upon.
  • The project manager will assist the client IT Division staff in responding to VITA and migration partner queries, coordinating tasks assigned to client, and ensuring that all stakeholders are enagaged and meet key deadlines.
  • The Project Manager must have 10+ years of project management experience with a PMP Certification.
  • Must be experienced or be familiar with network infrastructure and application servers.
  • Experience with Oracle and Websphere servers is a plus.
  • Process optimization, best practices, change management, facilitation and internal/external consulting is highly preferred.
  • Must possess strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Should have excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Will be expected to successfully coordinate between VITA partners, IT Division and end-users.
  • Should be flexible in managing/coping with change in direction and priorities.
  • Must have minimum of five (5) years' experience and extensive knowledge of applications development.
