Position: Project Manager for underground Wet Utilities in urban street environment.

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Location: Primarily Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire markets

General Summary

This position is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and outcome of underground wet utility and utility plant construction projects up to $10 million in size.

Job Description
  • Read, interpret, and follow project plans, specifications, permits, and contract requirements to lead project team to successful delivery of the project.
  • Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure profitability and evaluate risk.
  • Coordinate with estimators to establish budgeting and gain understanding of the project and bid.
  • Coordinate efforts with field superintendents to establish schedule and resources to execute the project.
  • Recognize and be able to price minor change orders.
  • Draft subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and their staff to develop long-term partnerships by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Manage multiple small to mid-size projects for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met and documented.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Directly related work experience in underground construction can be substituted.

Work Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in underground wet utilities for self-performing, at-risk, contractor.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of water, sewer, storm drain, asphalt trench paving, minor concrete structures and flatwork, and grading practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
  • Accuracy of paramount importance.
