Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will assume a critical leadership role in overseeing and directing large-scale heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects. This position requires extensive experience in project management, along with exceptional leadership, technical skills, and proficiency in various construction management software tools.

  • Lead comprehensive planning, execution, and completion of large-scale construction projects, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and client requirements.
  • Expertly utilize Oracle P6 Scheduling Software for complex project scheduling, resource management, and progress tracking.
  • Facilitate high-level communication and collaboration among project teams, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Create strategic presentations and detailed reports using Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of thorough project documentation, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Employ Microsoft Power BI for sophisticated data analysis, providing strategic insights for decision-making.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and subcontractors.
  • Proactively address stakeholder concerns, ensuring high satisfaction and effective communication.
  • Direct budget development and financial management for the project, using Excel and Viewpoint Vista ERP System.
  • Implement advanced cost-control strategies, ensuring financial efficiency and project profitability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations across all project activities.
  • Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation for rigorous design compliance and quality assurance.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts, developing comprehensive strategies to address and solve complex project challenges.
  • Implement and oversee robust risk management plans and contingency measures.
  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to project teams, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Foster professional growth and skill development within the team, ensuring high levels of team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in senior project management within the heavy-highway or heavy-civil construction industry.
  • Mastery in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI), Oracle P6 Scheduling Software, Viewpoint Vista ERP System, and Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-million-dollar construction projects.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and navigate complex construction sites.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project oversight and management.
