Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking a Project Manager to lead assigned mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal construction projects from preconstruction turnover through closeout. This role owns project execution, financial performance, schedule, contracts, procurement, billing, risk, and team leadership.
What you will do
• Lead day-to-day operations for assigned projects and supervise Project Coordinators, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers.
• Partner with field supervision to build cohesive project teams, plan labor resources, monitor productivity, and keep teams focused on safe, timely execution.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasting, work-in-progress reporting, backlog, cash position, profitability, and monthly contract valuations.
• Oversee contract administration and documentation to reduce risk, avoid claims, and protect the interests of the company and its clients.
• Lead preconstruction turnover, permitting, project setup, scheduling, submittal management, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate material and equipment procurement, execute buyout plans, and negotiate and administer subcontract agreements.
• Develop billing schedules of values; manage progress billings, retention, receivables, and collection activity in accordance with due dates.
• Price, negotiate, document, and process change conditions and change orders.
