Otis Elevator Company is seeking a highly motivated Centralized Release Project Manager to support modernization projects during the front-end execution phase. This role is responsible for project setup, upfront submittals, material coordination, and order accuracy from project award through material release. The Project Manager will work exclusively with internal Otis stakeholders to ensure projects are fully prepared for successful field execution.
On a typical day you will:
  • Manage assigned projects from contract award through material release, ensuring all upfront requirements are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Coordinate and prepare technical submittals, drawings, and documentation required for material release
  • Validate scope, configuration, and order accuracy to ensure alignment with contract documents and Otis standards
  • Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Estimating, and Field Operations to resolve scope gaps and technical questions prior to release
  • Ensure material orders are complete, accurate, and released in accordance with project schedules and internal milestones
  • Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, or missing information that could impact downstream execution
  • Track progress against key upfront deliverables and provide clear status updates to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation within Otis systems
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Will Need to be Successful:
  • 2+ years of project management experience in the elevator, construction, or related technical field
  • Elevator/escalator industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, submittals, and material procurement
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and elevator drawings
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process adherence
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach across functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (Excel preferred)
  • Self-driven, analytical, and comfortable in milestone-based environments
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in engineering preferred

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$113,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
