Job description

Job Description Project Manager Setting/Hours: 100% in Office| Full-time Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in West Chester, Ohio that's expanding its Manufacturing team. Must Haves: Prior experience within the HVAC industry preferred. Experience managing capital projects within manufacturing, industrial, or facility environments.

Minimum of 2 years of project management experience required. Responsibilities: Manages projects from initial planning through final close-out while ensuring customer expectations and project objectives are met. Ensures compliance with project specifications, plans, and scope requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinates closely with Application Engineering teams to support order processing and design handoff activities. Develops and maintains detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project. Tracks project progress through Order Status Reports (OSRs) to ensure on-time delivery and execution.

Monitors project costs and prepares monthly reporting updates for leadership and stakeholders. Leads coordination efforts between sales, engineering, construction, and service teams to support successful project execution. Interfaces directly with installation teams and subcontractors to manage timelines, communication, and field activities.

Oversees on-site startup and commissioning activities to ensure successful project completion and operational readiness. Key Duties: Coordinates equipment design requirements and technical specifications with customers, consulting engineers, and project stakeholders. Reviews contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with project scope, specifications, and commercial requirements.

Develops Schedule of Values documentation and partners with accounting to support monthly billing requisitions. Leads project meetings and maintains accountability for project milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Procures major equipment and project components while reviewing and approving vendor invoices.

Manages customer communication related to submittals, production schedules, delivery timelines, and project updates. Oversees the submittal review process and manages project change orders throughout execution. Prepares and maintains monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports for project tracking and leadership visibility.

Coordinates equipment startup activities with Service teams and installation schedules with Construction teams. Ensures completion of final project close-out documentation and turnover requirements. Participates in VDC/BIM coordination meetings across multiple trades to support project integration and execution.

Supports business development efforts by strengthening customer relationships and promoting modular HVAC system solutions. Qualifications: Associate's degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Sciences, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-3 years of related industry experience required, with prior project management experience preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project required. Experience with 3D AutoCAD preferred. Understanding of, or willingness to learn, electronic controls and instrumentation systems.

Familiarity with field transmitters and variable water volume pumping systems preferred. Ability to interpret building plans, technical specifications, equipment/material compatibility requirements, and electrical power systems/sizing. Project management certifications or formal PM training (PMP or similar) considered a plus.
