Job Title: Acoustical Ceiling Estimator/Project Manager

This position is responsible to prepare and oversee timely, accurate, and competitive bids to secure hard bid contracts and negotiated projects along with project management duties on landed contracts. This is a dynamic position which provides the successful candidate the opportunity to see projects through from bidding to completion and perform a variety of tasks daily. This position interfaces with both office and site personnel, internal and external, to ensure successful and profitable delivery of projects.

Required Skills & Abilities:

- Strong planning, problem solving and troubleshooting skills along with the ability to perform under pressure.

- Motivated individual with a strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and a positive attitude, willing to accept and meet the daily challenges inherent to the construction process.

-Highly organized, detail oriented, able to prioritize workflow needs and multitask accordingly.

- An understanding of commercial construction bidding and contracting processes.

- Ability to read and analyze blueprints to accurately estimate material quantities and labor.

- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, colleagues, and coworkers both verbally and in writing.

-Ability to travel to and navigate construction sites, which may involve the use of stairs/scaffolding, etc.

-General knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and Excel.

- On Screen Takeoff, Quick bid Software experience preferred.

- Knowledge of drywall products and installation methods preferred.

Key Job Responsibilities - Estimating:

- Develop and maintain a professional, positive relationship with multiple General Contractors, material suppliers, product representatives, and customers.

- Prepare accurate takeoffs utilizing estimating software.

-Price labor, material, and equipment using historic data, past experience, and supplier pricing to compile competitive bids and negotiated work proposals.

-Analyze completed projects and continually update production databases to ensure competitive and profitable bidding.

-Remain current on local market conditions.

-Produce concise proposals and bid forms.

-Follow up on submitted bids.

Key Job Responsibilities – Project Management:

- Develop and maintain a professional, positive relationship with multiple General Contractors, material suppliers, product representatives, and customers.

- Manage contract documents, review RFI’s, CPR’s, and any project changes to accurately capture added costs and acquire payment.

- Material procurement and management to ensure accurate material types and quantities are available to meet project schedule, and that material deliveries are made to jobsites on time.

- Communicate with Superintendents on schedules to ensure manpower needs are met.

- Update cost projections and production rates throughout project duration and identify risks, challenges, and production shortfalls, and work with superintendents and field staff to correct issues and ensure project profitability.

-Perform post project evaluations to identify achieved production rates, inefficiencies and challenges, and work with the team to implement corrections and improvements.

- This position is directly responsible for the successful and profitable delivery of contracts from start to finish.
