Summary

The Project Manager โ€“ CE&I is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction engineering and inspection projects throughout Louisiana. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements. The Project Manager will lead inspection staff, manage schedules and budgets, and uphold the firmโ€™s commitment to quality and client service.

Roles & Responsibilities

ยท Manage CE&I projects from notice to proceed through final acceptance and closeout

ยท Serve as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and agencies such as LADOTD and local municipalities

ยท Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets

ยท Oversee construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations

ยท Review and approve pay applications, change orders, daily reports, and project documentation

ยท Coordinate with internal engineering, surveying, and administrative teams to support project delivery

ยท Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, or performance issues

ยท Ensure compliance with firm quality control procedures and safety standards

ยท Mentor and supervise inspectors and junior staff, including performance feedback and development

ยท Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations as needed

Job Requirements

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

ยท Minimum of 5โ€“10 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection or related civil infrastructure projects

ยท Experience managing CE&I projects in Louisiana, including familiarity with LADOTD standards and procedures

ยท Strong knowledge of construction practices, plans, specifications, and contract administration

ยท Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

ยท Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

ยท Valid Louisiana driverโ€™s license and ability to travel to project sites

Work Environment

ยท Combination of field and office work environments. Regular exposure to all types of weather conditions on field assignments
