Job Overview: The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects with our client. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of project management principles and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.


Experience Required

โ–ช Entry-level to master level experience managing infrastructure projects, including roadway, utility, and site development projects.

โ–ช Experience with various project delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, etc.).

โ–ช Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

โ–ช Strong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings.

โ–ช Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.

โ–ช Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.


Educational/Certification Requirements

โ–ช Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

โ–ช Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

โ–ช Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee preferred.

โ–ช Completion of P.A.C.E. certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities and Duties

โ–ช Design: Oversee the development of detailed designs for various utility systems, including plans, profiles, and details, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.

โ–ช Analysis: Perform engineering analyses to ensure the proper sizing and functioning of utility systems, utilizing appropriate software and methods specific to the utility discipline.

โ–ช Planning: Oversee the planning and coordination of utility infrastructure for various projects, including site development, roadway, and drainage projects

โ–ช Permitting: Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies.

โ–ช Construction Support: Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits.

โ–ช Client Coordination: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide engineering solutions.

โ–ช Utility Coordination: Coordinate with utility companies to ensure proper integration of new infrastructure with existing utility systems. This includes facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with utility company requirements.

โ–ช Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure project success.

โ–ช Support the professional development of junior engineers and project managers by providing guidance on project execution, technical standards, and client management expectations.
