Position Summary
The Operations Project Manager supports operations teams by leading cross functional projects that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput across production lines. This role focuses on optimizing packaging processes, coordinating new product or format launches, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance. The ideal candidate is hands on, data driven, and comfortable working in a fast paced packaging environment with frequent changeovers and diverse product requirements.Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead planning and execution of packagingrelated projects, including line upgrades, layout changes, new equipment integration, and packaging format transitions.

  • Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within scope.

  • Partners with various cross functional teams including but not limited to supply chain, procurement, and planning to ensure material availability and alignment with production schedules.

  • Work with customers and internal teams on packaging specifications, artwork changes, material trials, and performance testing.

  • Facilitate communication between plant leadership and project teams to maintain alignment and transparency.

  • Prepare project updates, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership.

  • Use data to validate project impact and identify future improvement opportunities.

  • Manage/monitor and analyze inventory and customer forecasts to initiate production scheduling and/or material orders, working closely with key stakeholders.

  • Supports overall client pricing strategies including negotiating pricing with external vendors.

  • Ensures timely order entry and proactively manages order timelines for assigned account(s).

  • Receives and responds to customer complaints and processes appropriate corrective actions.

  • Proactively monitors open orders to advise key stakeholders of possible lead time challenges.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Menasha's products and capabilities to align with customer's products and objectives.

  • Monitors product inventory to assure availability for production and/or distribution to customer; works with management to disposition aging inventory.

  • Prepares purchase orders for outside materials.

  • Prepares and reviews required business reports.

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure that Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP are always followed.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 3-7 years of experience in packaging operations, manufacturing, or project management.

  • Strong understanding of packaging equipment (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, shrinkwrap, case packers, palletizers, etc.).

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

  • Experience managing customerfacing or operational projects end to end.

  • Proven ability to lead crossfunctional projects in a highvolume production environment.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience in CPG, food & beverage, health & beauty, or other packagingintensive industries.

  • Familiarity with GMP, SQF, ISO, or similar quality frameworks.

  • Experience with automated or semiautomated packaging systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to design, implement and execute business processes and associated applications.

  • Knowledge of and ability to implement effective strategies and activities that promote longterm customer loyalty.

  • Strong problemsolving and rootcause analysis skills.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments.

  • Handson approach with comfort working on the production floor.

  • High adaptability in environments with frequent changeovers and shifting priorities.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar).

  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, etc.).

  • Advanced Excel and reporting/dashboard experience.

  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting

  • Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location
