Project Management Intern (Fall/Spring/Summer)
Western States Fire Protection is looking to add an Intern to its team to work 24-40 hours per week. The Intern will report to the Contract Division Manager and support the Department with multiple projects, reports, as well as with day-to-day activities.
This is an on-site position. This role is based in our Lake Oswego branch.
Job Qualifications
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Science, Project Management, or other Construction/Fire Protection related degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency or knowledge in AutoCad related programs is a plus
  • Possess sound communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to drive
  • Willing to learn project management methodologies and phrases

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepping project related submittal packages
  • Performing data entry
  • May involve performing duties of a Fire Protection Designer
  • Perform Site visits and Audits
  • May require lifting objects up to 25lbs
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Assist in inter department coordination and help as needed
