Job description

Rycon's portfolio includes projects in aviation, healthcare, higher education, industrial/warehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, student housing, food service/dining, data centers/mission critical, retail, financial, self-storage, government/municipality, and LEED facilities. We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager at our Pittsburgh office.
What you will do:
  • Act as the single point of responsibility representing the owner's interests on healthcare capital projects
  • Lead project execution from programming, design, and construction through occupancy and post-occupancy evaluation
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and codes, including FGI Guidelines, Joint Commission, CMS, state Departments of Health, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing schedule, budget, quality, and risk
  • Review and interpret construction documents, contracts, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare, negotiate, and award subcontracts and purchase agreements
  • Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Assist with the estimating and budgeting process
  • Review, prepare, and manage change orders
  • Track and manage submittals, RFIs, cost reports, and project documentation
  • Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items
  • Maintain strong owner and stakeholder relationships through clear communication and proactive issue resolution

What you will need to be successful:
  • Minimum of five (5) + years' experience in managing healthcare projects valued at $10M and higher.
  • College degree in a construction/engineering field preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of the West Virginia construction market is preferred.
  • Must have experience dealing with the WV Office of Health Facility Licensure and Certification (OHFLAC)
  • Have a proven track record of successfully leading Healthcare projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
  • Computer Skills Required - Procore, P6, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Marketing and presentation skills.
  • Should be highly organized, highly motivated, and a detail-directed problem solver.
  • Have an advanced knowledge of the design-build construction process, including preconstruction, major system evaluations, estimating, scheduling, cost control, design, and client management.
  • Proven team player and have a strong background of leading project efforts, from programming through turnover with contract values from $10MM-$100MM+
  • Bring strong local relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients and municipalities. (Preferred)
