Position Summary:

Henkels & McCoy West is seeking an experienced Project Manager I that will provide project-related management for small to mid-scale construction projects across various markets within an assigned Region or Division and is responsible for utilizing H&M's Project Management Methodology to manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle, while being accountable for all aspects of each project's success.
This position provides direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job including resolving issues, managing resources, coordinating projects, interfacing with client representatives, overseeing project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching. The Project Manager I is also responsible for managing third party resources and overall project performance.
The Project Manager I serves a single-point contact and ensures compliance with the Henkels & McCoy established Project Management Methodology, upholding H&M safety and quality management protocols.
 


Responsibilities
  • Plan, monitor, and report project status, performance metrics, and key deliverables to management and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential stakeholder conflicts and facilitate effective resolution to maintain project alignment and progress.
  • Manage project risks across all phases of execution, including both self-performed and subcontracted work.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communicate project risks, updates, and corrective actions clearly to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Apply H&M Project Management fundamentals to support efficient project execution and operational consistency.
  • Train and provide project management guidance to associates and field engineers to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Serve as a process-focused leader, ensuring adherence to established project management standards and procedures.
  • Ensure team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships align with high-performance expectations and company strategy.
  • Foster a collaborative environment built on trust, accountability, and open communication.
  • Provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and leadership to support team development and project success.

Qualifications
  • Experience managing large scale projects and knowledge of construction and utility industry practices
  • Understanding of Critical Path Scheduling software and MS Office Suite
  • Moderately complex problem-solving skills
Minimum Educational Background:
BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
 
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:
2+
 

Salary Range: $90,000/yr to $119,500yr (will be dependent upon level of experience)
