Job Description

  • Directly supervises Card Services department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with related policies, procedures and the credit union’s strategic plan to ensure the successful performance of department mission, and other assigned functions. Trains, directs, and evaluates employee performance within the department. Monitors work volume to adjust risk tolerances, thresholds, track performance of goals, and to recommend staffing changes if needed. Handles member issues and disputes, especially escalations, as needed.
  • Directs, recommends, and implements credit union and departmental policies, procedures, projects, training, and communication strategies for Card Services department. Responsible for regulatory compliance, compliance with network mandates, business continuity, selecting and managing vendor relationships, system configuration, card portfolio management and control, expense management, and budgeting/ forecasts. Presents performance reports to Credit Union management on a periodic basis (i.e. quarterly). Supports credit union employees and members by responding to requests for information and assistance and coordinating training of other department staff.
  • Develops and maintains project plans including details relating to resources required, timelines, schedules, budgets and communication. Works closely with related departments to maintain schedules and needs which continually monitoring the progress of all projects against established goals and timelines. Provides continuous communication on project status to appropriate parties.
  • Works directly with vendors to maintain and improve systems and network relationships. Administers third party systems related to card services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates the Credit Union's Core Values (Service with an EDGE, Solutions, Adaptability, Respect, Accountability).

Requirements

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with Fiserv XP2, Corelation Keystone, FINBOA, Card Wizard, Visa Assist, IDEMIA, and the following Jack Henry & Associates (JHA) solutions: Quick Assist, Data Navigator, For Clients Portal desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data, create and manage spreadsheets, and utilize formulas and other advanced functions.
  • Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
