Position Overview

We are seeking Junior AI/ML Support Engineers to join a high-priority team supporting AI/ML platforms and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Natural Language Processing, along with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, data pipelines, model deployment, and cloud technologies.

This role will focus on diagnosing and resolving AI/ML issues, supporting model deployments, optimizing performance, and providing technical support across modern AI/ML platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex AI/ML platform and application issues.
  • Support machine learning model development, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Analyze model behavior, data pipelines, logs, and system performance to identify root causes.
  • Work with Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP technologies.
  • Support Google Cloud AI/ML services, including Vertex AI, Dialogflow, and Gemini.
  • Work with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure.
  • Support containerized and virtualized environments and perform basic system administration.
  • Read and troubleshoot code written in Python, Java, C/C++, Go, JavaScript, Shell, or similar languages.
  • Work with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and Ray.
  • Troubleshoot environments involving GPUs, TPUs, transformers, encoders, decoders, and other modern ML architectures.
  • Follow established support methodologies, case lifecycles, escalation procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, cloud, and support teams to resolve production issues.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with machine learning model development and deployment.
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex technical issues.
  • 2+ years of experience reading and troubleshooting code in a general-purpose programming language.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, data analysis, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or NLP.
  • Understanding of compute fundamentals, including virtualization, containerization, operating systems, and system administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a technical support environment and manage case lifecycles effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Vertex AI, Dialogflow, or Gemini.
  • Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Ray.
  • Hands-on experience with GPTPUs and AI accelerators.
  • Knowledge of transformer-based models and modern AI/ML architectures.
  • Experience supporting production AI/ML environments.
Certifications
  • Required: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) Certification
  • Preferred: Google Machine Learning Engineer Certification
Additional Requirement
  • Must be willing to work hybrid from Baton Rouge, LA, with onsite presence from Day One.
