About the Role
Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North is looking for a skilled Lead Cabinet Installer & Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, field leadership role where your craftsmanship takes center stage—transforming residential kitchens through high-quality cabinet refacing, custom cabinetry, trim, and finish work.
If you take immense pride in precision, love solving on-site puzzles, and want to work with a supportive team that values quality over quick fixes, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Field Execution & Craftsmanship:
    • Lead and execute residential cabinet installations, refacing projects, and custom carpentry from start to finish.
    • Perform detailed finish carpentry, including crown molding, scribe, trim, filler panels, and hardware installation.
    • Ensure every installation is level, plumb, square, and aligned with exact project specs.
  • Job Site Leadership & Problem Solving:
    • Read and interpret cabinet elevations, floor plans, and technical drawings accurately.
    • Troubleshoot site quirks and installation challenges independently with clean, professional solutions.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site from demo to final clean-up.
  • Communication & Professionalism:
    • Work closely with project managers to keep jobs running on schedule.
    • Interact with homeowners with a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor.
    • Complete punch-list items efficiently to ensure full client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in cabinet installation, cabinet refacing, or high-end finish carpentry.
  • Deep knowledge of woodworking hand tools, specialized power tools, and cabinet hardware.
  • Proven ability to read architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists.
  • Sharp attention to detail with zero tolerance for sloppy cuts or misaligned doors.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license to travel to residential job sites across Brooklyn and Manhattan.
  • Ability to work independently and manage apprentice/helper installers on site when needed.
Why Join Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North?
At Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North, we deliver high-impact kitchen transformations with a focus on quality, speed, and customer care.
  • Respect for the Craft: We value skilled tradespeople and back your work with the proper tools, materials, and administrative support.
  • Great Culture: Work in a supportive environment where your expertise is recognized and your input matters.
  • Consistent Local Work: Year-round residential projects across Brooklyn and Manhattan—no endless traveling out of state.
