Job description

Job Summary

MicroVentures, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, is seeking an ambitious individual to join our Fund Management team.

The team is responsible for the full investment life cycle, including: establishment and funding of an LLC, target investment completion, day-to-day Fund accounting, preparation of periodic reports and tax forms, managing the exit of the target investment, closing the Fund.

The ideal candidate is a high-integrity individual with incredible attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, willingness to learn a unique business, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced financial environment.
What you'll do at MicroVentures:
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of over 800 Venture Funds
  • Prepare investor notices, including capital call, fee, and distribution notices
  • Process outgoing and incoming payments
  • Maintain key databases to fulfill ad-hoc requests for Fund and investor data
  • Participate on special projects related to the fund
  • Assist in the preparation of applicable tax forms (e.g., Form 1065)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds' specifications
  • Collaborate with compliance, operations, and executive leadership teams to meet all requirements to the highest standards of quality

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
  • At least one year of work experience, preferably within the financial industry
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen eye for details to identify trends, cause and effects

  • Strategic thinker focused on continuous improvement
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.)
