Job description

Quality Analytics And Innovation Intern Spring 2027

From the beginning, students are entrusted with specific responsibilities, ensuring they play a significant role in their learning journey. Support in planning and realization of quality equipment and quality processes for a next gen battery production line. Supports with project evaluations by identifying/capturing gaps, dependencies, resources, risk and financial impacts. Coordinates, procures, implements and/or provides technical support for new equipment installation and investment projects (new model, structure, and plant small projects). Supports contractor activities in engineering, installation, commissioning, documentation, and sign-off of new equipment projects. Supports quality checks and prepares quality documentation. Supports with maintaining project cost targets and budget forecasts. Collaborates with medium/large projects and/or self-initiates projects for continuous improvement relating to structure and/or process. Supports battery plant targets and goals: production, quality, safety, cost, associate, and citizenship. Obtains and shares best practice solutions within the BMW Group network.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions: Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas. Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects. Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives. Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies. Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions. Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices. Support the organization's vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap. Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals. Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings. Participate in project team meetings. Provide general administrative support. Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis. Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.

Qualifications: Engineering degree (preferably electrical, computer, mechanical, chemical, or industrial) / Data Science / Statistics or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Some familiarity with data manipulation and tools such as Python or SQL. Some familiarity with data visualization such as tools like Tableau or Power BI, etc. Effective communication skills Ability to work independently and show initiative- German language not required but is a plus Organizational & project management skills Communication & facilitation skills Strength in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Technical background (e.g. mechanical or electrical engineering) preferable MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university. MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. Dates are January 11 2027 - May 14 2027.
