Position Description

Reporting to the Project Executive, as a Project Engineer, you will be a key member of the Construction Services Team, specializing in mass timber projects produced at our facilities in Spokane, WA; Conway, AR; and Penticton, BC.. You will report to both the Project Executive and Superintendent, playing a critical role in the success of each project by supporting all aspects of the build, from design to on-site execution. This position location is flexible, it can be based at our head office in Vancouver or at any of our production facilities, depending on the candidate’s location


Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and logs, ensuring the project team has access to the most current versions.
  • Assist the facilitation of any project meetings, including taking notes/providing meeting minutes as required to all stakeholders.
  • Oversee the entire submittal and RFI (Request for Information) process, from collection and tracking to writing and distributing responses.
  • Track project labor hours and change order management such as Change Events, negotiations, takeoffs, submissions, and logs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, including design, VDC, BIM, and MEPF, to ensure project alignment and proper penetration coordination.
  • Assist with site logistics planning, schedule updates, and creating and maintaining a historical database of project data.
  • Support the Project Manager with vendor and subcontractor communication, onboarding, procurement, and invoice submissions.
  • Review and ensure compliance with project contracts, and assist with job close-out procedures and financial documentation.
  • Document significant project events and ensure all project records, including Bills of Lading, are properly filed.
  • Assist the facilitation of any project meetings, including taking notes/providing meeting minutes as required to all stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 4-year Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and highly organized
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, as well as Google
  • Basic knowledge MS Project or P6 scheduling, Procore or other CM Programs


Salary and Benefits

  • The salary for this position is $58,000 - $68,000 USD. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
