Job description

As a Project Execution Manager, you'll guide engineered solutions from proposal through design, manufacturing, and final delivery. You'll ensure each project meets schedule, budget, and compliance targets, driving a seamless customer experience and upholding Hilti's commitment to excellence.
What You'll do
  • Supports & controls other project managers on a project or application of a program for customers, field sales team, and internal corporate departments on programs/projects that are engineered to order
  • Participates and substitutes in customers' project meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly coordination meetings, weekly BIM clash meetings, etc. All to coordinate project scope details, track open and closed task and drive schedule commitments
  • Support & control other project managers who lead cross-functionally between engineering, manufacturing, materials management, legal, credit, transportation, logistics, and field sales team to align and manage tasks; conduct project coordination meetings to evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Visit jobsite with salespeople, field engineers, fire protection specialists, or strategic business personnel to assess application problems and opportunities
  • Provide competent recommendations to contractors on specific applications on key projects; educate contractors on the advantages of Hilti value added solutions
  • Supports capture teams for large projects to perform and assess options for engineering scope and cost, prefab and logistics cost calculations following elaborate logistics concept (transport, customs, intermediate storage etc.) to support bidding and proposal phase
  • Audits Proposals with contract writing for projects with clear and specific scope of work. Includes understanding terms and conditions, writing scope of work, prefabrications services, developing pricing, and delivery schedule
  • Understands how to work with engineering teams to facilitate development of all project submittals (shop drawings, calculations, product date, models, sign and seal, etc.)
  • Plan engineering resources
  • Review drawings and consolidate material orders to determine material cost; also ensure use of designer's inventory
  • Understand design for manufacturing and how to perform rough cut capacity planning to ensure adequate manufacturing resources are available to support program long term per the multiyear pipeline
  • Understand materials management and supply chain constraints to forecast materials and support program long term per the multiyear pipeline
  • Gather specific customer logistics requirements for materials, specials, and prefabricated materials (e.g., labeling packaging, deliveries, unloading, timing, etc.) and explains cost vs benefits to the sales team
  • Ensure correct order entry and on-site delivery, final invoices and manage customer complaint notices
  • Manage overall costs for project (develop schedule of values, align with Credit, determine monthly invoices, etc.) and provide monthly cost analysis
  • Assess/mitigate risk throughout project duration, especially when scope changes arise; execute change order management
  • Additional duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree required emphasis in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in engineering, construction management, or related technical field, required.
  • Minimum four (2) years' experience and proven track record in project management required.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills; must be able to organize all projects, track successes, and bring these successes to the next project.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate complex situations in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, local building codes, and practices as they relate to Hilti products required.
  • Knowledge of Contract Management and Liability Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices, discrete manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategy, credit terms and profitability.
  • Knowledge of materials management, logistics, & transportation methods.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, etc.),
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project or similar).
